Our bestseller the Flexible City gets a third edition!
How to make existing European cities more circular and climate adaptive? How to find the right flexibility to make them futureproof?
With our research The Flexible City – Solutions for a Circular and Climate Adaptive Europe – we will contribute to these determative questions. We will describe proven organizational, legal, financial and spatial instruments that help make the needed transformation. We will analyse realized, inspiring examples. What can European towns, regions and countries learn from one another?
Our research will lead to a third edition in our bestseller series the Flexible City and has been made possible by Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie, Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties, City Deal Openbare Ruimte, de EFL stichting, Waternet en City of Amsterdam.
From the former editions, we learned that research can only be successful with the dedicated help from people with eyes and ears in other parts of Europe. So we managed to arrange a team of local reporters. Tallula Oellerich, Joseph Siebenaler, Anna Tsagkalou, Niklas Scheuer, Paulina Szuba, Aurélie Griveaux thank you so much for helping us making this international publication! nai010 publishers and Sanne Beeren, nice to work with you again!
You could help us tell us which inspiring examples and instruments from over Europe should definitely be part of the research… please write down your suggestions in the comments!
